Remember those who fought and, thankfully, came back home to us, like my nephew, Brett.

Remember those that fought for our freedom and paid the ultimate price.

God bless our military and their families. Thank you isn't enough.

Camp Taji- at differing times since it is surrounded by built up areas got hit a lot by rocket/mortar fire. We had troops there from our air units. Glad he's home. Do you know what his job was?

Chup, he was a stryker mechanic based out of Ft. Lewis.

Chup, what's a "Fobbit?" He probably was on base most of the time but I know he had to go out on patrol and outside the wire to retrieve and maintain broken down strykers.

I'll pass that on, Landshark, thank you.

Many of the bases are called Forward Operating Bases or FOBS for short. Fobbit is a play on Hobbit to signify someone who doesn't leave the wire.
