It's raining, it's pouring = no baseball game for grandson numero uno today.

I finished up my required internship hours on Thursday.

Uncle Sam raided my coffer.

Classes are doing their semester end whirlwind of activity. I can't believe this is my last semester and how quickly the 2 years have gone.

Graduation is May 18th. My parents are coming, and possibly my brother and his family.

Party time.

I drove from Weatherford clear to Azle last Sunday in search of the bluebonnet fields that were there in the past. On the way back to town I figured out exactly where they had been. It looked like the fields had been plowed over. I think I'll go looking for the ones Jarhead mentioned.

I need a social life. Where do you find one of those?

And a real job.

I am okay, Sili, just a little winded and confused.

Good to hear you are ok.

I still haven't had any luck with bluebonnet fields.

Girl, it's ironic you should say that because my evil cogs have been spinning and plotting today...but so far, no, there's no mystery blog.

I just haven't had anything to write about.

Congratz on the graduation. Regarding, "where do you get a social life". Here are ideas:

1) Join a club. Book clubs, hobby clubs, sports groups of some kind. Some years back I started making beer, and had I wanted to, I could totally got in good with those guys and branched out from there.

2) Go to events you'd rather not: parties, at-work feel good events like "lets all pick up trash somewhere", etc. Join a local T-party if you're politically inclined that way. Or join Code pink if you aren't! :)

3) Once a week, go to the Outback Steakhouse, or something like it, and eat your dinner at the bar. I met my wife that way.

4) Volunteer work - normally I'm against it because they don't pay you, but hey can't have everything (kidding).

congrats on the nearing graduation!!!! I am happy and proud of you :) J, you are one strong chica. When you needed strength, you reached deep down inside yourself and found it. I kinda feel the same way with the past year of horrible things that have happened to my family. But, I am still standing, strong, proud, and making the best of it. I hope your family is able to come and celebrate w/ you! Heck, I wish I could run down for a few days! Im trying to get some training approved up in Dallas. It'll be 4 days and I hope I get the fundiNG, I was passed over the last 2 times=keep yer fingers crossed. Its been a tough day, on my 3rd and last glass of red vino, long day 2moro and Im rambling. Have a great weekend.....you'll be meeting people soon, your too cool to NOT have a social life and you KNOW that!!!

Thnx for the ideas, Candle. I have never been much of a joiner but I can see I am going to have to change that.

Barngoddess, thank you. Yes, you have had a very tough year and you have come through it valiantly. I admire you so much. I am going to email you my phone number. If you make it down this way, call me...or heck, call me even if you're not down this way.
