I didn't come up with this but struck me in a sort of ala Oprah aha moment when I read it in a book recently.
According to Wikipedia, the Higgs boson is a massive scalar elementary particle predicted to exist by the Standard Model in particle physics. At present there are no known fundamental scalar particles in nature. The Higgs boson is the only Standard Model particle that has not yet been observed.
A central theme throughout the book The Year of Disappearances is presence and absence and how absence creates a presence all its own. From the book, "Observations of the known suggest the presence of an unknown." An absence can exist as a palpable entity even though it can't be proved to be there.
When a presence seems to have been sucked into a black hole to a perceived oblivion it doesn't cease to exist, it changes form. Absence has a great presence in my life.
Ah heck, I know what I'm trying to say whether it's coming across or not.

Guys, I think we are in the presence of greatness.
Not sure because I didn't really understand a thing she said but, man those were some fancy words- you gotta admit!
I didn't explain it well. Sorry.
Your Majesty, believe it or not, I got it and I have it!
Good, Mango. I'm not as cuckoo as I thought...either that or we're both crazy.
I apologize, I got it, but had to make fun.
As a theory, it's pretty damned interesting. In reality, it sucks salty balls.
