Don't Mess With Texas

No offense to Texas but I really don't like you. I associate you with every bad thing that has happened to me. Logically, I know my locale had nothing to do with those bad things, and that it had everything to do with bad choices made, and that all I need to do to change things is to change my attitude.
I have made some strides in that direction, but I still have some miles to cover.

I guess a person always harkens back to a place and time where/when they were happiest. For me, that was the 3 years I lived in New Mexico. If it weren't for the fact that my daughter and her family are here, I think I would move back there. Oh hell, I don't know. I could never duplicate the circumstances I was living under at the time of my N.M. residence.

Sometimes I think if we'd only stayed there...but maybe I was the only one who felt that contentment. Or, maybe I am only fixated on that place and time because it was the calm before the storm and change was inevitable whether we'd stayed or not. Maybe there would have been a Dana there, too.

No wonder they call it, The Land Of Enchantment. We still need to get together for lunch- I may not be ALL that great, but I'll do until Mr Great comes along (maybe). ; )

Gia, those are photos of my stunt double.

Chup, I think that state slogan fits NM perfectly. Lunch sometime sounds good.
