I helped my Grandfather bale hay in SE Kansas over some summers in the, uh, '70s - quickly learned that the best job was to be the driver of the flatbed truck while my cousins stacked the bales lifted up by the elevator/ramp. Also enjoyed building secret passages (like the pyramids) into the stacked hay bales back in the barn.
CN, what made it even funnier was the laughter of the person doing the filming.
Doolin', I never helped bale hay but I remember my grandpa lifting us up in the air on some kind of fork liftish type machinery used in stacking the bales. It was fun until my mom came outside and saw the carnival ride Grandpa was giving us and made him put us down immediately.
